FEATURED PROJECT

Usap Tayo

The National Youth Commission (NYC) is a government agency in the Philippines that addresses issues surrounding the Filipino youth. It is the sole policy-making body on youth affairs, also known to implement relevant programs for and with the youth.

We worked with the NYC in designing an intensive training program for communities identified by the Department of Health to have the highest incidence rates of HIV/AIDS infection. The program was designed to engage parents and the youth – equipping them with NLP tools for self-empowerment and communication. Through these concrete tools, participants are encouraged to start the conversation about “taboo” topics such as HIV/AIDS, teenage pregnancy, and drug abuse — to begin ending the stigma, and starting a solution.
